The word "moun/age" deconstructs and blends the roots of montage—the art of bringing distinct images together into a single composition. It combines moun ("to pile up," from the Latin mons [mountain]) and the Old French -age [a state or result]. In this project, we attempt to get closer to the vague, floating presence of "nature"—whether viewed as the counterpart to human civilization, or as something residing within ourselves—by drawing on varied sensibilities and methods.

「moun/age」とは「montage 合成写真・異なった種々の画面を並べて一つのイメージにまとめる手法」の語源「ラテン語の［mons山］から派生したmoun［積み重ねる］/age 古期フランス語［結果 状態］」を分解、統合した造語である。このプロジェクトでは（人間社会、文明の対義語として、または人間の内在性として）漠然と浮遊している「自然」という存在に、様々な感性や手法を通して改めて肉薄する。
